Cover Your Seed

Just like the covering of good fertile soil provides a plant seed with the physical nutrients and support it needs to grow into something fruitful and productive, covering our children with prayer provides them with the spiritual nutrients and behind-the-scenes intercessory support they need to be fruitful and grow into productive adults.

It's far too easy to look at the problems of today or at the behavior of your children and be fearful of what the future may hold for them. But God calls us to be salt and light in the earth (Matthew. 5:13-14). And the purpose of salt is to PRESERVE while the purpose of light is to REVEAL AND ILLUMINATE. So when we as parents, grandparents and caring adults who are Believers cover our children in prayer by speaking God's word over them and praying for our children's needs...even if they don't believe, we activate the power of prayer over their lives.
In Romans 4:17, the Bible says that God calls those things which be not as though they were. As men and women who are spirit beings at the core and speaking beings created in the image and likeness of God and given full authority to trample on serpents. I believe you and I can do that too—there is power in our words!
Today, no matter what it looks like in the natural cover your seeds, by keeping them in your prayers ...and even if you have older kids who don't believe or who are in jail or  running the streets, still cover them in prayer. You have power as a praying parent.

Much Love,
Cassandra Mack,
