Day 10 of The Soul Fast With Cassandra Mack 2019

Cassandra Mack’s Soul Fast 40-Day Challenge

Day 10

Fasting From Negative Thinking

Today’s Fast: Today We Are Fasting from the thought that says… I have to keep quiet about what's bothering me and suffer in silence.

This morning I wanted to jump into your inbox to encourage you to reach out for support whenever you find yourself in a place where you need to see a turnaround in your life.

In the story of Blind Bartimaeus found in Mark 10: 46 - 52, Blind Bartimaeus was a blind man who was sitting outside of the city gates begging. But when he heard that Jesus was passing by, he realized that if he wanted to be healed, he was going to have to be the one to initiate the process and use the power of his voice to speak on his own behalf, so he began to cry out... "Jesus, have mercy on me."

As he cried out to Jesus there were MANY PEOPLE WHO TOLD HIM TO BE QUIET, but he did not let other people silence hos voice. Instead he cried out even more; because something was bothering him ...HIS BLINDNESS

See, he did not want to suffer in silence anymore and resign his life to sitting by the side of the road begging, so he knew that something had to give. Bartimaeus wanted to receive his healing and he knew that in order to get it, he had to TELL SOMEBODY what he wanted. He told Jesus! And the story ends with Bartimeaus receiving his sight.  However, Jesus says something very poignant to Bartimaeus. Jesus tells him ..YOUR FAITH HAS HEALED YOU! So it was Bartimaeus own faith that activated the process of Bartimaeus crying out to Jesus rather than holding his pain in and not actively seeking help.

On your journey to do more, have more and be more; there are voices that will try to tell you to not reach out for help when you are in need of direction, help or access and sometimes those voices will come from other people but more often than not they come from inside our own heads, by way of self-doubt.

You must stop listening to the voices that try to keep you quiet, that try to silence you from speaking your truth or reaching out for help when you are in need of a friend, a kind word, support and prayers.

There might be voices in your head saying to you..., "keep quiet" don’t tell anyone what’s really going on in your life. Chin up and deal with your pain in isolation.  But this is when you must speak even louder and cry out for Jesus so that you can get the healing/answers/solution/peace that you are seeking.

There might be voices inside your head saying, "Stay the way you are." Stay in the dark, Stay blind. But here is where you must understand than any voice that tells you not to bother God with your troubles, or keep your pain bottled up inside or pretend that you are okay when you are in need of help, hope and healing is a voice that you need not be listening to.

Say "no" to any voice that tries to keep you silent and instead keep going after everything that God has promised you in His Word.
