Mental Self-Care

Self-care is any helpful activity that you do in order to take care of your mental, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being. It’s the intentional practice of making sure that you are being taken care of by you. Although most people know that it’s important to practice good self-care, most of us overlook it when we need it most. Good self-care improves our: state of mind, productivity, relationships, our ability to manage our emotions, spiritual resilience and it reduces stress and anxiety. The Bible tells us in 3 John 1: 2  "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." As human beings we are intrinsically wired to grow, thrive and flourish. Mental self-care is essentially soul care ...caring for your psychological wellbeing in a way that allows your soul to prosper. 


Let’s face it — not all days are bright and sunny. We all have those trying days when things just don’t go the way we hope, plan or want them to. And that’s completely normal, especially in today’s times!
