What Are You Feeding Your Mind?
I hope and pray your weekend is off to a great start. I wanted to talk to you this weekend about your mental diet and ask you: What are you feeding your mind?
This is an important question to ask yourself. Why??? Just Like you can tell a lot about a person’s physical health by simply looking at the types of food they eat, such as: eating a balanced diet that gives them power and energy instead of consuming nothing but fast food and soda that makes them sluggish and unhealthy. You can tell a great deal about a person’s mental, emotional and spiritual health by what they feed their minds.
What are you feeding your mind? Are you feeding your mind a daily dose of scripture to give you strength and power on the inside? Or, are you constantly consuming negative social media content and dwelling on discouraging thoughts?
Romans 12: 2 says …”Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
You get to choose every day what type of food you are going to feed your mind. Will you feed your mind with mental junk food and toxic content or will you take charge of your psychological and spiritual healthy by feeding your mind with words and scriptures that empower, encourage and edify you? Your choice!!!
The bottom and top line is this: You have to train your mind to not be conformed to the ways of this world but to be transformed by the word of God.
