We invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity to submit an article for consideration as a guest writer for Da’Glow Magazine.
Write for Da'Glow Magazine
My grandmother used to look at me and say, "Baby, you got a glow about you." Her words planted something in me that grew into Da'Glow Magazine — a place built on the belief that everyone has a light worth sharing, and sometimes it takes one person's story to help someone else find theirs. If God has given you a story, a lesson, or a piece of wisdom that could help someone else keep going, I'd love to consider it for our pages.
What We're Looking For
We want articles that feel like they were written for one specific reader in the middle of one specific struggle, not general advice aimed at everyone. The most successful Da'Glow articles are practical, honest, and generous with real takeaways — think less "sermon" and more "here's exactly what helped me, and here's how it can help you too."
Brand Fit Matters
Every article we publish needs to feel like it belongs inside Da'Glow, which means it should reflect the same heart this magazine was built on: encouraging, faith-rooted, and free of judgment. Before you apply, spend a few minutes with Cassandra Mack's content, the ministry website, and this magazine's tone, so you can feel whether your voice is a natural fit before you invest time writing something that may not be.
Brand Alignment Is Key
A key factor in the articles we accept and featured is that they must align with Cassandra Mack’s mission, message and brand. We will only publish content that aligns with Cassandra Mack’s mission, message and brand, so make sure to familiarize yourself with Cassandra Mack’s content, business website and ministry website before submitting your request to write a guest article for Cassandra Mack’s Da’Glow Magazine.
A Note on Compensation
Da'Glow Magazine is not currently able to offer monetary compensation for guest contributors. However, every published guest article includes your submitted one-sentence writer's byline at the end of your article and the opportunity to share your knowledge and story with our growing community of readers across our magazine, website, email newsletter, and social media platforms, reaching over 100,000 people through our combined platforms.
Our Review Process
Every submission is carefully reviewed by our editorial team. Because each issue is built around a specific editorial theme, not every article will be the right fit for the upcoming issue. If your article is selected, we'll contact you with the next steps.
How To Write for Da’Glow Magazine
Here's how to craft a great article that fits with Da’Glow Magazine's Mission, Message & Brand
Step 1: Be Informative But Not Overly Pushy & Preachy
After you have a subject in mind, consider how you can write about it in a simple way.
Step 2: Narrow your focus in the article
Don’t be too broad because when you write for everyone you write for no one. So before you start writing, think of a specific audience! The most successful articles for Da’Glow Magazine are narrowly focused and targeted to a specific reader who is dealing with a specific challenge or problem. This enables you to offer specific, tangible advice. For example, here are some article titles that speak to a specific reader: 5 Things I Pray For Whenever I Feel Depressed & How God Sees Me Through Every Time," “3 Powerful Scriptures To Pray Over Your Children If They Are Struggling With Low Confidence”:
The most successful articles will offer personal stories from your life experience along with 2 or 3 tips at the end that readers can use in their own lives. Be practical. Be real. Be clear.
Step 3. You Can Promote In Your Byline, But Not In The Body Of The Article
The article is not a place to promote your business, product or service, but to share your knowledge and experiences with our readers in the hope that they can learn from what you have written. Your one sentence byline at the end of the article is where you can describe yourself, include your website or linktree and where to go to find out more about you and or your business/ministry/services.
